We have worked hard to ensure this website is as easy to use as possible for the first time visitor. We hope your experience today is a good one and that you are able to navigate the product catalogue and search for products quickly and efficiently. We have put together this brief guide which aims to help you get what you need from this site.
There are two main ways that you can search for products on this site:
Search box
This is located in the header area at the top of this site and is always available for you to use at any point in your site journey. This box enables you to type in either the product code, e.g. A1751A or a product keyword, e.g. stainless steel knife. If you search for a broad term such as 'Plates', you are likely to get a high number of products displayed on the results page. Being more specific with your search term will ensure a smaller number of products are displayed, e.g. lockhart white plate.
Browsing the catalogue navigation
There are two ways in which to navigate our product categories. Firstly, our main product groupings are displayed horizontally at the top of the site. If you click on one of these links you will be directed to the category page from which you can browse into further sub-categories. Alternatively, if you hover your mouse cursor over a category in the horizontal navigation bar, you will see a list of sub-categories appear in a drop-down box to choose from. Once you have selected one of the main product groupings, e.g. Cutlery you will then also be able to use the vertical navigation menu, to the left side of the site, from which to select the sub-category you are interested in viewing.
Facet Search
To help you refine your search further, we have added product attributes to enable you to filter your search by specific features, e.g. Brand, Price, Colour, Size, etc. These are also located in the left hand navigation bar.
This form has been added for visitors who know the product codes they wish to order. Simply type in the product code/s and quantity into the fields provided and press the 'Add Item' button to add the product/s to your basket.
If you are interested in placing an order for a large quantity of products or simply wish for us to provide you with quote prior to you placing an order with us, you can use our Request a Quote form.
Simply complete the fields in the form provided and then submit your details to us. A member of our Sales Team will receive your form and get in touch with you with our quote. Again, this form has been designed for obtaining prices on high volume and / or repeat orders with us.
Adding to your basket
When you have found the product you require click the ‘Add to Basket’ button. You will find this button on both the product listing and product detail page. On these pages you will also have the option to enter the quantity of products you require. Simply enter the number you require into the text box.
Your basket can be reviewed at any time by clicking on the ‘My Basket’ tab at the top right of the page. When you are ready to order, click the Checkout link.
Amending quantities & removing products from your basket
If you want to update or remove items from your basket, click the ‘My Basket’ tab at the top right of the page.
On the ‘My Shopping Basket’ page you will see the Qty field alongside each product you have added. To change the quantity, simply overtype the number in this field with the new quantity you require and click the ‘Update’ link. Your basket will refresh and show the new quantity you have added.
If you want to remove a product from your basket completely, simply click on the ‘Remove this item’ link shown below the Qty field. Your basket will refresh and the item is deleted.

The following symbols appear next to products on this site. Stock availability is continually refreshed so that we are always showing you the most up-to-date status of a product.
In the event that a product is Out of Stock, you can use the 'Email me when back in stock' link and we will notify you when the item is available to order again.
Some of the larger catering appliance products we advertise on this site are not stocked in our central warehouse and therefore carry a slightly longer lead time. Please check the lead time shown against these products before placing your order, e.g. 1-3 days, 3-5 days.

We regularly check our prices against those of our competitors and are confident that we offer the lowest prices on catering equipment in the market (see details of our Price Match Promise by clicking here). However, due to the close buying relationships with our suppliers, the large volumes of stock we buy and our commitment to offering our customers the very best value for money, we will also advertise a range of different promotions throughout the year.
Depending on the type of promotion we are running will determine how it is applied to your order. For example, some discount promotions will be automatically applied when you add products to your basket and these will be clearly marked.
From time to time we will advertise Promotion Codes. These are unique codes, e.g. LOCKHARTDISCOUNT10 that can give you discounts and money off when you order on this website. In order to take advantage of these promotions, you will need to enter the code into the promotion code box at the checkout.

We accept the following cards on this site: Visa (credit and debit), Mastercard, Maestro, Solo and Electron. Currently we do not accept American Express cards.
All prices advertised on this site are exclusive of VAT. VAT will be calculated and added in your basket before payment is required.
When you have added all the products you require to your basket, click the ‘Checkout’ link in the My Basket tab displayed at the top right of the page and then follow the steps. If you are a new customer, you will need to register before placing your order. You will select your delivery address at this stage.
Alternatively, for even greater speed and convenience, you can select the ‘Guest Checkout’ option which allows you to proceed through the checkout and place your order without creating a website account with us.
When you reach the 'Confirmation' page please check that all the details you have entered are correct and that you have all the items that you require. When you are ready simply click the 'Place Your Order' button.
You will receive an order confirmation email, clearly stating your order reference number and details, shortly afterwards.
You can view the status of your order and track its progress with our carrier. Order tracking is available from 'My Account'. Please note that if you have ordered an item that requires direct delivery from our supplier this cannot be tracked. A member of our Customer Services team will contact you to advise you on a delivery date.
