Effective Project Management

Our step by step process ensures your project is delivered on time, within budget and according to your requirements – and because we look after the bigger picture, you can concentrate on your business.

  1. Discuss your needs
    Our Specialist Consultants will meet you at your site to gain a clear understanding of your needs and discuss initial ideas.
  2. Develop your design
    Quotations, drawings and supporting presentation materials are developed in consultation with you. Plans are then drawn up and submitted.
  3. Fine tune your brief
    Once you have considered the designs, we will meet you to discuss any changes required and will submit the revised plans for approval.
  4. Site work commences
    Once a purchase order is issued, the project can begin. Critical paths are used to show the client how the work will progress. For each new job Bunzl Lockhart creates a project team including the Client, Project Manager and Project Administrator to ensure tight control and good communications. Health and Safety and Environmental Control are high priorities at all times.
  5. Complete the installation
    The completed project is signed off by the customer. The Bunzl Lockhart Project Manager arranges the customer's staff training on all new equipment. Copies of Operation and Maintenance Manuals, which include details of equipment, layout drawings and key contacts, are handed to the customer.
  6. On-going support
    Bunzl Lockhart Customer Service provide support via a National Helpline Number. All equipment is labelled with the Call Centre telephone number and Equipment Manufacturer's Model and Serial Numbers.

SAFEcontractor Accreditation

SAFEcontractor is an accreditation scheme that assesses the health and safety competency of suppliers like Bunzl Lockhart Catering Design and other contractors and service engineers when working on installations at customer sites. This provides our customers with the peace of mind that they are fulfilling their legal obligation to ensure that external contractors work on their premises in a safe way.

Many of our public sector customers, major national accounts e.g. Compass, and other large organisations view the accreditation as a pre-requisite when inviting tenders for substantial projects, which means that Design is in a stronger position when bidding for these contracts.
